Staff Picks (See Tabs with Recommendations)
The Cottage Book Shop staff are all Leelanau County residents who workpart-time, love to read and share book recommendations.

Josephine Arrowood, our newest employee, is a free lance writer for Glen Arbor Sun and keeps our shop tidy.

We have been extremely fortunate to have an outstanding summer staff who faithfully return.

Anne Wiesen is well known around Glen Arbor, partially due to her family's many businesses. She and her husband, Dan, own the Glen Arbor Lakeshore Inn, the Glen Arbor Cabinet Shop; General Contractors, and Empire Orchards and Hops Farm. She is the mother of four children, including Alex, who works with his father in the family businesses, and Matt Wiesen, who along with his wife Katy, are very involved in Glen Arbor as well. Matt and Katy own Crystal River Outfitters, the M-22 Store and The Cyclery. Daughter Sarah is pursuing a PhD at Vanderbilt University and daughter Claire will be a junior at Glen Lake High School next fall. Anne works at Glen Lake Schools during the school year, and loves sharing and talking about books at The Cottage Bookstore summers!

New this summer is Emma Velis, a junior at Glen Lake High School, and Jake Beardslee, son of Lois Beardslee, the Native American we represent.
